Marketing Lancashire says:

We’re delighted that Morecambe has been chosen for this event. It’s not only an iconic location surrounded by beauty, but one which also faces the very real and near term impact of coastal erosion and rising sea levels. The climate transition is high on the agenda in Lancashire and has several world class initiatives which include RedCAT, Lancashire's Centre for Alternative Technologies;  the low carbon demonstrator being created at Samlesbury in partnership with AMRC North West;  current and planned off-shore windfarms; Morecambe being the chosen location for Eden Project North; and the region’s position at the heart of the North West’s nuclear industry, and host to the UK’s Office for Nuclear Regulation and the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.
